Vince Sandwell BSc MRICS
Managing Director
The Managing Director and one of the founding Directors of BE Group with over 30 years experience, Vince continues to fulfill his valuation and agency role with key clients whilst heading up the Planning and Regeneration Services team.
His knowledge includes assessing, acquiring and developing sites on behalf of private developers and end users and undertaking wide ranging site assessment studies for public sector bodies across England and Wales. He has particular experience in undertaking viability appraisals and preparing delivery strategies for large scale development proposals. Recent work includes the preparation of financial appraisals for two large, housing-led developments in Staveley and Rother Valley Corridor, Chesterfield, on behalf of the Chatsworth Estate. He has recently undertaken a market review and financial appraisals for a range of local authorities – Cheshire East, High Peak, Wrexham, Flintshire and Worcestershire County Councils. He also specialises in employment land reviews and has represented a number of Councils at Examinations into their local plans including Vale of Glamorgan, Charnwood, Stroud and Sefton. Vince has excellent contacts with a range of nationally important private sector clients covering both the commercial and residential sectors including Chatsworth Settlement Trustees, Royal London Asset Managers, St Modwen Properties and National Nuclear Laboratories.
A keen rugby fan, Vince enjoys watching Sale Sharks and still hopes for a recall to his local team Eagle RUFC.
Anthony Meulman BE (Chem) MRegDev
Associate Director Planning & Regeneration
Anthony joined the BE Group team at the beginning of 2015 and has been a property and regeneration consultant for 25 years. Anthony has undertaken numerous studies across the property sector, including industrial, commercial office, retail, tourism, leisure, residential, aged care and child care.
Anthony has completed a Master of Regional Development and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, both conferred by the University of Queensland. His dissertation for the Master’s degree investigated tourism planning and policies in local authorities in regional Queensland and the resulting impacts on the local tourism sector.
He has a broad background in providing consultancies to the public and private sectors, advising clients on individual development projects to long-term strategic planning. Anthony has led studies on the long-term provision of employment land for local authorities across England and Wales and has provided advice on the market prospects and opportunities for specific development sites. He has provided strategic advice on town centres, industrial estates, business parks, mixed-use projects, Enterprise Zones, incubator centres and sports campuses.
In his spare time, Anthony plays cricket at his local village club and enjoys reminding teammates of the current holders of the Ashes. He enjoys travelling with family.
Chris Wilson MTCP MA PhD
Principal Regeneration Consultant Planning & Regeneration
Chris has worked at BE Group since 2006 and is responsible for regeneration, planning and economic development. His planning work has included policy analysis, the development of planning applications and assistance in the consultation process of local plan development. Chris’s economic development experience covers retail and employment studies, along with detailed reviews of contemporary regeneration programmes and has built a specialism in town centre masterplans and employment land reviews across the country.
At Manchester University, Chris undertook a PhD examining issues of community involvement in the Housing Market Renewal programme. During the course of this PhD, he also obtained a Masters in research, published several academic articles and book chapters and worked part-time as a Research Assistant in the University (taking part in research projects in for national organisations such as the ODPM).
Chris is a Member of North West Royal Town Planning Institute Regional Activities Committee (RAC), and has edited the North West Branch magazine ‘PLANNET’ for the last ten years. Some of the articles he has written and edited have become famous and indeed infamous throughout the North West’s planning community….
Chris’s interests include sailing, bird watching (the feathery kind) and hill walking. He has walked several long distance paths, including the 70-mile Cumbria Way, the Northumberland Coastal Path, 81-miles around Loch Ness, as well as the arduous pathway between our offices at Birchwood One and Greggs, the Bakers. He is also keen Sci-fi and Dr Who fan.
Blessing Awujo BSc (Hons)
Regeneration Consultant Planning & Regeneration
Blessing joined BE Group in July 2023 as part of the planning and Regeneration team after achieving her degree in BSc Human Geography at the University of Hertfordshire. She undertakes a wide variety of planning, regeneration, and economic development work, including regeneration strategies, land studies, project evaluations, place making and town centre masterplans.
Blessing loves taking walks in her spare time, travelling and visiting new places whenever possible, she spends her weekends catching up on her favourite shows.
EMILY MORLAND BA (Econ & Dev)
Regeneration Consultant Planning & Regeneration
Emily joined BE Group in October 2024 after graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Economics and Development Studies.
Her degree enabled her to build strong analytical and research skills, particularly in interpreting economic data, writing reports and presenting findings clearly to different audiences. Her dissertation examined gender disparity in labour markets which reflected her interest in economic development issues and strengthened her skills in quantitative analysis and literature review. During her studies, Emily also developed proficiency in quantitative methods, alongside qualitative research through essay based and group project work.
Since joining BE Group, Emily has developed experience in reviewing planning and economic policy, a wide knowledge of commercial markets, undertaking property reviews and supporting and leading consultation activity with stakeholders.
CHARLOTTE KELLY
Office Manager
Charlotte (aka Charlie) joined BE Group in 2008, as an Office Administrator. She is now the Office Manager and her work centres around the smooth running of the office, which includes managing the Accounts, Quality Assurance and Health & Safety for BE Group.
She is also responsible for the maintenance and development of the company website, digital media, property databases, and co-ordinating various property related marketing initiatives.
For those of you old enough to remember, Charlie is the company’s Judith Chalmers and enjoys travelling to exotic destinations. She also enjoys running and going to concerts.
